Miley Cyrus's might have failed to get a Grammy nomination this year but this does not mark the end of her story. The 21-year-old has a new achievement to her fame. Her music video for "Wrecking Ball" has been named the most-watched video of 2013, according to Vevo. The video, where Miley swings naked from a wrecking ball, has a whopping 371 million views worldwide as of December 1. We doubt anyone would ever be able to break her record in 2013 now.

"Wrecking Ball" created a record ever since it was released on Vevo. The Terry Richardson directed music video had 19.3 million views on its first day of release in September. The 371 million views (and counting) are much more than last year's winner, Carly Rae Jepsen. Jepsen's hit single, "Call Me Maybe," was last year sat at 357 million views. Miley is much more ahead than Jepsen. Vevo not only counts hits from their website but also from its partner websites including AOL, Yahoo, YouTube and others.

Miley swings on a huge iron ball in the song. The popularity of the song can also be due to the fact that this was the first ever song Miley came up with ever since she announced her break-up from fiancé Laim Hemsworth. "Wrecking Ball" has emotional lyrics like "Don't you ever say, I walked way..I will always want you" and touched the heart of "Smilers" who called it a break-up song for Miley. The singer herself was seen crying at many performances of this song. However, Miley has dismissed the claims that the song is for Liam as she had admitted in one interview that she is actually crying for one of her dogs who died!

Other reason why "Wrecking Ball" became so popular was because Miley appeared naked in the music video. The singer cleverly used the camera angles but sat on the huge iron ball - naked. Ever since this music video, Miley has been dubbed as the controversy queen and it would not be wrong to call her the most talked about person of the year 2013.
