Miley Cyrus to Perform on The X Factor, Compared to Celine Dion [VIRAL VIDEO]
It has been confirmed that Miley Cyrus and Gary Barlow will perform on the sameX Factor UK episode to promote their new singles. Miley is set to perform a new single from her studio album, Bangerz, while Barlow will sing "Let Me Go" from his album "Since I Saw You Last."
The series have seen performances of other artists such as Taylor Swift and Robbie Williams, Barlow's Take That bandmate. Former contestants One Direction are also scheduled to appear on the show soon. The next X Factor theme will be The Great British Songbook and all contestants must adhere to this.
Miley Cyrus has also been banned from twerking on The X Factor since this is a family show and she needs to keep her performance PG rated. The "Wrecking Ball" singer was given strict instructions not to do raunchy dance moves, no suggestive bum bouncing or crotch grabbing. After her controversial MTV VMA Awards performance in Aug. where she stripped down before grinding against Robin Thicke during his "Blurred Lines" performance, the show was concerned that Miley's antics might be too sexy for primetime TV. X Factor almost got into trouble after Rihanna's performance on its 2010 finals and Christina Aguilera's hot routine for her "Burlesque" film promotion. Gary Barlow will perform with Sir Elton John on the X Factor Final.
Celine Dion, 45, also took the stage to play her new single but she was received with mixed reactions and even comparisons to Miley. Viewers thought she sounded like the 25-year-old popstar and even expected her to start twerking. She had an interview with Fuse and took a minute to explain Miley's side: "Before we judge her for getting naked...Hannah Montana gave herself for so many years and one day, she said, 'I am fed up with the life that I had to be. I'm going to show you my real skin.' There's nothing evil about that. It's expression. I just hope that she remains healthy." Celine thinks it's not only Miley but the whole new generation, doing extreme physical things to reveal themselves and pushing them to sell their souls.
