Miley Cyrus Responds to Pot Smoking Controversy, She Doesn’t give ‘A F**K,’ Appreciates MTV’s Efforts
Just when you thought that Miley Cyrus is taking a break from her regular antics and your newsfeed is clean, she returns. BAM! And your news feed is flooded with her fresh controversy. This time she smoked pot onstage Sunday night during European Music Awards.
Miley not only smoked marijuana onstage but also twerked with a dwarf. Amidst the controversy of her ridiculous EMAs act, she took to Twitter and cleared the air that she doesn't give a flying f**k about what her critics think, write, say, or whatever.
"Sometimes in life you just gotta decide to not give AF," 20-year-old "Wrecking Ball" singer tweeted.
After MTV censored the broadcast of the Europe Music Awards, Cyrus showed her fans the way. She encouraged her fans via Twitter to watch the show online. "Go online and watch what really went down at the EMAs!" she tweeted on Nov. 10.
Meanwhile, MTV made it in the good books of the group that criticizes them - The Parents Television Council. The group praised MTV's efforts to censor the awards show when it was rebroadcasted on Stateside MTV.
PTC President Tim Winter applauded MTV by saying that they did a fine job by making a responsible decision of censoring the show.
"It is unclear whether MTV's actions suggest stricter content guidelines for its TV-14 programming, or whether this is just an example of the old saying that 'even a broken clock is right twice each day.' We certainly hope it is the former. We applaud MTV for taking responsible actions to eliminate the drug use from its U.S. broadcast, and we urge them to make that a uniform policy for all of its programming, (sic)" Tim added.
