Miley Cyrus Reveals New Break-Up Song Called 'Drive,' Says She Slapped Robin Thicke's Bums But It Got Censored [PHOTOS]
Looks like all the magazines, newspapers and Web sites want to cover only one artist these days and yes you guessed it right - its Miley Cyrus. The 20-year-old star created such a furore with her racy MTV Video Music Awards performance that all magazines wanted to get her on her cover page. First it was Rolling Stone and now Miley can be seen gracing the covers of Fashion magazine.
The singer shocked everyone by appearing topless on the Rolling Stone cover but many of her fans will also be shocked to see her covered up on the next issue of Fashion magazine. The "Wrecking Ball" singer is seen wearing a black thick fishnet dress by Kaufman Franco which is more than $3295. Miley dons a Dolce and Gabanna black bra and her trademark high waist briefs inside the net dress for the cover shot. Her make up is by Denika Bedrossian.
Cyrus also wears a white revealing bodysuit by Zimmermann for the inside pages and looks radiant in the photographs which were shot by Chris Nicholls at a private estate in the Hollywood Hills. The magazine cover has Miley's quote "Shocking is What I am Good at."
Miley opens up about how her performance at MTV was censored and she actually wanted to slap Robin Thicke's ass. "I was trying to slap Robin's ass but no one saw it! Believe me! MTV edited so much. They cut almost everything I did. I'm proud of that performance," Miley tells the magazine.
Miley reveals that she has a very peculiar taste when it comes to choosing clothes and is a big fan of Vintage clothing. "I have a very specific style of my own and I think it is better to be stylish than trendy. I find vintage Celine or Chanel and mix it with athletic or vintage pieces makes a look modern and fresh. Vintage makes everything look punk," the singer adds.
Miley has very clear view on competition and reveals she enjoys working because of that. However the singer who has been criticised for everything she does says that she doesn't even think of them much.
"When it comes to critics, I have my blinders on and I don't really feel like I have to compete with other pop artists," Miley says. "If there is no competition, there would be no reason for any of us to show up to work. At an office, everyone is trying to be boss. Pop music is the same. What I wear adds a factor that other girls can't compete with," the confident singer says.
Miley Cyrus also reveals that she has written a song on her tumultuous relationship with Liam Hemsworth and it's called "Drive." "I wrote it while I was working on Valentine's Day-emotionally it was such a hard time," Miley tells the magazine.
"It is about needing to leave someone but not really wanting to completely cut yourself off from the relationship. It's a time when you want to leave but you can't. It's also about moving on," she reveals further.
Miley also reveals that the dress she wore at VMA was a Dolce and Gabbana piece from 1992-the year she was born and was advised by singer Pharrell Williams to buy it.
"I think that outfit added a factor that the other girls couldn't compete with. Pharrell says it's not about what you're wearing; it's the way you wear it. That was a lesson I took to heart. I think it is important that I execute a look better than other people. Fashion is what separates me from everyone else," she says.
The Fashion Magazine November 2013 issue starring Miley Cyrus will be available on newsstands October 7, 2013.
