Miley Cyrus, 20, has been quite busy these past few months. She has been making headline after headline. Now, the "Wrecking Ball" singer poses nude on the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine saying that she is just 108 pounds.

Based on the facts the star has given and on the huge number of fans including kids, could this statement pose as a threat to promoting anorexia among young women and those who are likely to take in everything the singer is saying.

'A hundred and eight' pounds is underweight for a celebrity such as Miley Cyrus. The star may have a lot of critics but she does have a lot of fans who are women and it set a trend as to how women see themselves. The former Disney star used to be natural with a lot of curves during her "Hannah Montana" days, but now she rather looks thin and unhealthy.

The star may look good in her slim frame but she is not the toned kind of 'slim' that women who want to follow her style should do. The question here comes down to is the star anorexic herself? Is her statement saying that she is just 108 pounds truly disturbing as it would cause women to reach her figure, her young fans (there certainly are young fans) who would try desperately to gain the "Miley Body" would follow in pursuit as a form of idolization.

Although the star does claim to religiously do yoga and pilates, she still should own up to the normal weight of a woman of her height. Yes, it would be okay for Cyrus to be 108 pounds but what about those ladies who can't do a 108 on the weighing scale because it is not entirely possible for their body frame?

Yoga and pilates are good workout habits, good but make sure to eat the food that would give you nutrition after a tiring workout.

Just like mainstream media, women as stereotyped as beautiful when they are slim, but the media fails to address the topics such as bulimia and anorexia, which causes normal women who have insecurities try and reach the so called "ideal" body that is known as beautiful.

Did Miley just promote "anorexia" by saying she is 108 pounds? It may not be intentional but the effects it could have on her fan base could be bad.
