What exactly is up with Miley Cyrus these days?

Just hours after the 20-year-old star ditched her wedding ring and announced to the world via Twitter that she is taking a break from social media, Miley was spotted leaving a house party in North Hollywood with a good-looking mystery guy.

After spending a few hours at the bash, the Last Song star and her dark-haired companion was seen splitting the scene in her car, with her handsome buddy tagging along at the wheel.

The former Hannah Montana actress is probably fed up with her life being under the telescope constantly these past few months, especially after she and fiancé Liam Hemsworth allegedly called off their engagement. However, this sudden incident surely won't stop heating things up around the rumor mill.

Is Miley really dating somebody else?

Good thing, Us Weekly cleared things up and finally revealed the details behind this mystery. Turns out, this suspicious cohort that the gutsy pop star was spotted with is the good friend of Cyrus' fiancé, Paul Khoury.

But despite this mystery being solved, reports between Miley and Liam have been feeding the tabloids, and it seems there might be some truth behind the rumors, as Liam was spotted leaving an Oscar party with January Jones, and a few days earlier, the Hunger Games star was allegedly flirting with Bling Ring actress Emma Watson.

Sources have also reported that the couple has been fighting over their careers. "He's not happy," a mate of the Australian actor said, then added, "She says she's over it," pertaining to Miley's feelings about the engagement.

Last week, Cyrus tweeted that she is "taking a break from social media," but the break apparently didn't last too long since the former Disney star tweeted a Jeff Buckley quote and two seemingly provocative videos two days after.

Let's just hope rumors are still rumors, after all, whether we admit it or not, everybody is still rooting for happy endings in Hollywood these days.
