The mother of the homeless youth Miley Cyrus brought as her date to the recently concluded MTV Video Music Award night thinks that Miley Cyrus is an angel and has been singing praises about the young pop star.

Linda Helt, the mother of Jesse Helt, has been busy showering the twerking star with praises for helping her homeless son. With the recent news involving the 22-year-old homeless man and the police, Cyrus expressed her full support for Jesse and his deranged past. In her Twitter account, the twerking star urged her fans to concentrate on the bigger issue of homelessness affecting many youths in Los Angeles.

According to sources, Jesse is an aspiring model from Salem. Upon accepting the award on Cyrus' behalf, Jesse delivered a heartwarming speech on the plight of homeless people in LA. Reports show that Cyrus met him on one of her trips to a shelter for the homeless youth, which was coincidentally the same place Jesse was staying temporarily.

In a report from Mirror online, Jesse's mom, Linda, confirmed that he is no longer homeless as he has already decided to stay with her. She claims that Cyrus even vowed to support the youth financially, as well as expressed her absolute commitment to assist Jesse in every possible way.

In reference to her son's much publicized criminal background, Linda has always been defensive. "He made some mistakes," she stated. "He was charged falsely and they (the police) didn't say that," Linda added.

However, Jesse's mother admitted he had been influenced by bad company for quite sometime. "Jesse happened to be with the wrong person. Sometimes the police get a hold of stuff and it's not always correct," said the boy's mother in his defense. "It's not because I am his mum and I want to defend him, because he has made mistakes," she shared.

As per latest update from the Associated Press, Jesse has surrendered himself to police in Dallas and pleaded guilty to all the charges against him. He is expected to appear before a judge in two weeks. According to US Weekly, Cyrus will be assisting him to deal with the legalities. She also reinforced her dedication to help resolve the issue involving about 1.6 million homeless youth in America.
