Miley Cyrus's Announces New Album Title on Twitter and Its Called .."BANGERZ"
Miley Cyrus did what she promised. The moment she reached 13 million followers on Twitter, the singer released the name of her fourth studio album on her Twitter account... and its called "BANGERZ"!
"13 million #BANGERZ," Cyrus posted on Twitter. "If you don't know why my record is called BANGERZ you'll know as soon as you hear it. Nothin but #BANGERZ." Shortly after the big revelation of the title, a snippet of the track featuring Miley and none other than Britney Spears leaked online.
The song is titled "BANGERZ," but the leaked clip is too short to decipher the lyrics. In a 9-second clip, the two ex-Disney stars are heard cursing saying "F*** Bangerz" over a catchy beat.
It may not come as a surprise that Cyrus would rope in Spears for a feature spot on her album. The "We Can't Stop" singer recently revealed that Spears was the one "one person" in her life "who gets it."
"Everyone goes through a time in their life where they don't want their picture taken every day. [Britney] just never had that time where she could say, 'I'm going through something right now and need to shutdown,'" Miley told Huffington Post in an interview. "I also don't have that, so it's good to have that one person in my life who gets it."
BANGERZ is the follow-up to 2010's album "Can't Be Tamed" and already has a hit raunchy video to its single "We Can't Stop," which reached the No. 2 spot on the Billboard's Hot 100 chart and has sold 1.5 million downloads to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The music video for "We Can't Stop" recently set a VEVO record by reaching 100 million views in 37 days on the platform.
"BANGERZ" will feature collaborations with other artists including Mike WiLL Made-It, Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald, Future and Pharrell Williams, among others. There was no release date set yet, but the 20-year-old is ready to get it released and if the labels don't release it, she could possibly leak it online.
"We could just leak it. That's what I'm always trying to do," Miley told 4 Music, adding "I scare my label all the time, because I just want my whole record out right now. I'm ready for people to hear it."
