Mindblowing Facts About 'Sons of Anarchy' Series Finale
It's been a month since the FX "Sons of Anarchy" made its final ride, but fans of the show can't get enough of Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) and his motley crew of vest-wearing bikers. After seven years and seven seasons, "Sons of Anarchy" managed to gather a million of loyal fans who loyally waited that for the next twists and cliff-hangers Kurt Sutter, SOA series creator and his writers can think of.
Here are some of the "mindblowing facts" about "Sons of Anarchy" that one may not be aware about, according to What Culture.
Stephen King's Cameo
Yes, that's right. Acclaimed horror writer Stephen King made a cameo appearance in "Sonsof Anarchy" Season 3 as a cleaner named Bachman, a name he used earlier in his career to separate his sci-fi fare from his mainstream horror fare. "The Shawshank Redemption" author is a huge fan of the show and even gave the show a glowing write ups in his column in Entertainment Weekly.
Badges and Tattoos
Kurt Sutter's depiction of an outlaw gang and how they actually work is so detailed that even the badges and tattoos of the members are very essential in creating an authentic biker show. When it comes to biker rules, any member of the club, who wants to leave the gang, had to leave his badge and everything that bears a logo of the club. When it comes to tattoos, one episode of the show featured the gang trying to burn an ex-member's tattoo before permitting him to leave the club.
Katey Sagal Sings In Every Season
Known for her role as SAMCRO's matriarch, Katey Sagal is not only an award-winning actress, but also a talented singer. Married to the show's writer and executive producer, the "Married With Children" star is one of the many singers featured in the "Sons of Anarchy" soundtrack. She sang one song per each season.
Ron Perlman is Scared of His Bike
Playing SAMCRO's ex-president Clay Morrow is a role that did not come easy for Ron Perlman, as he knew nothing about the motorcycle culture and he had never even been on a motorcycle before. The "Hellboy" star had to take riding lessons to lessen his fear of bikes during the first season of the show. "Isn't that funny?" says Maggie Siff who plays Jax's wife, Tara Knowles,, in an interview posted on What Culture. "The toughest guy in the show, and he's not all about riding. But he's so tough, you'd never guess."
Chibs Scars are Real
Known for playing Chibs in "Sons of Anarchy," Tommy Flanagan plays the biker role convincingly thanks to the scars on both of his cheeks. Before landing a project with FX, the Glasgow-born actor was known for his roles in "Braveheart" and "Sin City" where his distinct scars came handy with his characters. He got the scars because of a knife attack on the street when he used to work as a DJ in Glasgow.
