Actress Minnie Driver disclosed her astonishment in regards to finding out about the double life of her father. She found out everything about her father on the BBC family history show 'Who do you think you are'.

Driver said that she came to know about her mother being a mistress when she was 12.

Her mother Garnor Millington was a mistress to Minnie's father in their London Flat. She revealed in the show that her father never told them (Gaynor, Minnie and Older Sister Kate) about Annie and that he had a daughter named Susan with her.

Driver even told on the show that she had no idea that her father had a previous marriage to Ada Wood Stancliffe and she had a half brother Leslie StanCliffe (Actor).

Driver was in shock when she kept on discovering new things about her father on the show. For instance she had no idea that her father had fought in world war II and had even received a bravery award for saving three people from fire.

Her father gave up the medal and threw it in the river as he held himself responsible for the death of his friend Walter Lily. The show even brought to surface the unstable mental state of her father and how he went for psychiatric treatments.

As reported by Washington Post award winning actress Driver said on the show "It makes me wonder for my father, why he chose to keep everything so secret. It would have been nice to talk to him about it all."

The actress confessed that she wanted to know more about her family history because of her son, Henry, who wanted her to find out who she was, the Telegraph reported.

The show airs on Wednesday.
