Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr boasted that she delivered her baby drug-free. This statement angered some mothers who had epidurals or C-sections during labor.

In her recent interview with Harper's Bazaar August 2012 issue, Miranda Kerr revealed that she gave birth with her baby Flynn without the use of any drug as she and husband Orlando Bloom agreed that she will not use epidural during the birth of their son, fearing it would risk the success of many factors during the delivery.

She believed her decision resulted in a healthier child with instant success in breastfeeding. She also added that she wanted to give "the best start in life" free of "drugs" to her son.

Her decision was highly influenced by watching birthing videos and thought babies exposed to epidural were not as responsive compared to those born naturally.

"The baby was a little bit drugged up and I was like, 'Well, I don't want that.' I wanted to give him the best possible start in life I could," the model recalled.

These statements garnered intense opposition from mothers who do not share the same views with Miranda Kerr and thought that the model was judgmental.

Some mothers are irritated and reacted that it is not true that mothers who chose to use epidurals or C-section during birth do not give the best start to their child.

The model also revealed that she wants to spend a lot of time with her son, Flynn.

"[My perfect day is] to wake up to the sound of my son saying, 'Mama, mama!' It's the best sound ever. Then I just love to get him out of bed and he can jump into bed with us, and we have cuddle time!" Miranda Kerr shared.

The model quickly went back to shape after giving birth. She said that losing baby weight after delivery was never her priority and she did not have any pressure in getting back to her size before pregnancy. She said that taking care of Flynn and breastfeeding was always her priority at that time.

Miranda did not answer the negative comments towards her. However, we are all entitled to our own beliefs and opinion and we are free to do and practice what we believe in.
