Miranda Kerr Attracts Travelers in new Ad Campaign for Qantas [PHOTOS]
Australian airline Qantas announced that it would launched its new Qantas Club ad campaign featuring supermodel Miranda Kerr.
The new club ad campaign is designed to engage current members and attract new members. The ad also highlights the various benefits of Qantas Clubs for both business and leisure travellers, including WiFi connection, comfortable surrounds, priority privileges and a complimentary premium food and beverage offering.
"I'm very excited to be involved in this campaign. As a frequent traveller, I know how important it is to have a space where you can relax and unwind, or stay connected until your flight departs," said Miranda.
"Qantas Clubs offer that little bit of home away from home while you are at the airport, all the conveniences you need and the chance to indulge in some of Neil Perry's great snacks," Miranda added.
Australian top model and Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr was named as the newest ambassador of Australia's airline Qantas last January.
The airline threw a lavish cocktail party in Los Angeles to introduce Orlando Bloom's better half as the newest face to represent Qantas. Kerr joins other celebrities such as John Travolta, Cathy Freeman, Mark Webber, Greg Norman, Mark Schwarzer and John Eales as Qantas ambassadors.
Another ambassador John Travolta said that Miranda adds a whole new level of excitement and glamour to Aussie's famous airline. The two stars shared pictures and tips on taking care of their one-year-old sons in the party.
Kerr, on the other hand, said that she felt most honoured to be chosen as ambassador.
"It is very exciting. Qantas is such an iconic Australian brand and to be an ambassador for them is such an honour," Kerr said. "I always fly Qantas, so this (role) is really exciting, what a privilege." added the model.
However, Kerr was criticized that she attached herself to the airline when she was a known environmental advocate. Kerr is a global ambassador for Earth Hour and has her own skincare line Kora Organics.
The Aussie beauty defended the airlines environmental impact and already boasted the different green initiatives of Qantas. The model said that she was impressed with the airline's fuel efficiency, carbon footprint offsets, and recycling water.
Qantas is hoping to distract people away from the PR disaster it suffered last year wherein tens of thousands of passengers around the world were stranded as well as the social media disaster where a lot of insults were thrown at the airline. It seems that hiring Miranda Kerr brings hope to put the PR disasters behind and to encourage more people to fly again with Qantas.
The campaign will run in Qantas channels via Qantas Frequent Flyer emails, qantas.com, in terminal and outdoor.
