Supermodel Miranda Kerr's wedding with actor Orlando Bloom in America on Thursday had a distinctly Aussie flavor.

The bride wore four vintage Collette Dinnigan gowns during the wedding and reception that were flown from Sydney.

The ring presented by Kerr to Bloom during the service was designed and made by Sydney jeweller Stefano Canturi.

The couple were seen last in public at London's Gatwick Airport on Saturday as they left for the US.

After a few days, they secretly got married and the ceremony was attended only by family and a few close friends.

Kerr's friends from Sydney were surprised with the wedding. Although PS reported that it took place on Thursday in the US, they could not get a hold of the details. But the couple have set up a home in California.

''All we have ever wanted is for our children to be healthy and happy, and we have never seen Miranda healthier and happier than she is right now,'' Kerr's mother Therese told PS, refusing to divulge any details.

Rumour has it that the two got married immediately after their engagement because Kerr is already three months pregnant. But There Kerr says her son-in-law is a traditionalist.

''Orlando, being the true gentleman he is, followed tradition by asking for Miranda's hand in marriage and we had no hesitation. They truly are a gorgeous couple, are very much in love and bring out the best in each other. We are thrilled to welcome Orlando into the Kerr family," she said.
