The Victoria's Secret Supermodel has shared a few post-baby diet secrets she followed after giving birth to her first child with Orlando Bloom.
Victoria Secret’s model and wife of actor Orlando Bloom has generated the buzz recently for unveiling a stunning post-baby body shape that’s to die for for every woman - - mom or no mom.
The Daily Record enumerated ten post-baby diet secrets followed by Miranda after giving birth to her first child with Bloom, 3-month-old, Flynn.
According to The Daily Record, the 28-year-old supermodel attribute her shocking and to-die-for body shape to ‘a simple set of rules’. These rules, said Miranda are so simple that every Jane can follow to have a great summer bikini body.
IBTimes noted five rules shared by the Victoria Secret’s Supermodel.
Being a Mom
Miranda reminded every woman particularly the ones who have already given birth like her to always remind herself of ‘how important it is to watch out for the food intake’ because she is providing nutrition not just for herself but for her baby or babies as well.
She said: "In every way, it's just incredible. I feel so blessed and so lucky to have such a beautiful healthy child. It's just incredible".
The model then added, “Eating healthily is a priority, not just for myself, but for my son. I'm breastfeeding so it's really important.”
1. Regular Healthy Breakfast
Underscoring the importance to make it regular and not skipping one no matter how busy one is, Miranda said that it is good for the body to start the day with fresh produced fruits and other nutritious food.
Miranda suggested: "I wake up in the morning and I have fresh green juice and some oatmeal and blueberries. I just make sure I'm feeling good and well fed."
2. Right Intake of Water and Number of Hours of Sleep
Understanding that lack of sleep is expected for early parenting, Miranda warned that the problem comes when one gets into the habit of not giving herself enough number of hours to get some rest and sleep. She also said that aside from getting more sleep, one must also strive to have the right of water intake a day for it can help one’s overall mental and physical state.
Miranda reminded moms saying: "For me, it's just about maintaining my health on a continual basis. I'm always drinking a lot of water and getting as much sleep as I can."
3. Must Love Greens
And by that, Miranda meant eating a lot of greens. Bloom’s stunning wife even enumerated some of her favorite greens, emphasizing her philosophy (and everyone else’s) ‘that mum knows best!’, expressing high hopes that this habit can be passed on to her son Flynn when he is older.
She said: "I eat extremely healthy because when I do, I have more energy. I love spinach, avocado, lots of greens and broccoli."
4. Do the Yoga
Admitting that among her post-baby diets, yoga is one thing that she is working so hard for to do more regularly. But she has to fight her occasional ‘laziness’ saying that yoga helps her ‘build up strength and flexibility and mental state.
She said: "I have a regular yoga routine I practice and that's the one thing that really keeps me grounded and on top of that I do have a trainer as well, but to be honest with you, I can be a little lazy when it comes to that because I'm working so hard."
5. Don’t Deprive Yourself and Eat ‘Indulgent” too, sometimes.
As if saying “all work is no fun”, Miranda Kerr noted that it is good to give yourself a break sometimes too and give your body what your body wants.
The model even assigned a simple equation that she follows for her food intake - - 80% for healthy food and 20% indulgent.
She admitted that she also had her ‘off days’ and she craves for junk food and sugary snacks.
She said: "I'm pretty much 80 per cent healthy, 20 per cent indulgent, because I don't believe in depriving yourself," emphasizing that ‘nobody can be perfect all the time’.
The Daily Record also added five other simple rules shared by Miranda. These include : having green tea and taking coconut oil that helps the skin; eating for one’s blood type and that means doing some research; and supplementing one’s diet but being mindful of taking only organic food like she does.
Miranda, said The Daily Record also warned to get easy on cardio since a woman’s body does show changes and therefore, changing types of physical exercises to undertake. She suggested consulting experts on what activities to take.
And if you want to really look good this summer, Miranda underscored the importance of choosing the right bikini when you hit the beach. It is important she said to determine your body shape and find the right bikini.
