Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell gained favorable odds to win the the Miss Universe tilt this year finishing with $5 dollar from $26 to win.

According to Centrebet, Miss Australia edged out early favourite Miss Philippines who is paying $7 and who is tied wth Miss Ireland.

A $5 odds mean for every dollar bet a Miss Australia bet will pay out $5. This is a strong indication that Jessinta Campbell is the favourite to win the title.

Yesterday, Campbell posted in her Facebook account that she had met Miss Universe franchise owner Donald Trump.

Updating her Facebook from Las Vegas, the Australian bet said "'met Mr Trump today! very nice man with kind words for all of the contestants :) very excited for tomorrow night!! xx."

The Miss Universe coronation night will be held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino at 2pm (Australian time) today.
