Miss Earth 2013 Crowns Miss Venezuela Alyz Henrich

The 13^th edition of the Miss Earth in Muntilupa City, Philippines hosted 89 candidates from all parts of the world all vying for the crown as the ultimate Miss Earth warrior.

The candidates are in the Philippines for 3 weeks to prepare themselves for the final night where the reigning Miss Earth 2012 Tereza Fajksova from Czech Republic will crown her successor.

The 8 candidates' wits are tested in the Question and Answer round where the ladies are asked by different judges. All questions are all related to the environment and the ways on how to preserve Mother Nature.

Miss Earth 2008 Karla Paula Henry of the Philippines led the country in showing gratitude for the rest of the world who helped restore Haiyan's ground zero. The pageant was hosted by couple, Oli Pettigrew and Linda Black, both are based in Singapore and famous presenters in Asia.

David Pomeranz gave two performances to serenade the ladies in their swimsuit and evening gowns. Miss Kazakhstan Bazarbayeva won the Talent competition, Miss Ukraine Anastasia Sukh won the Swimsuit competition and Miss Venezuela Alyz Henrich won the Evening Gown competition.

After Miss Universe 2013, Venezuela strikes again as Alyz Henrich won the prestigious Miss Earth Crown. Henrich will be earth's new advocate as she address all environmental issues and help in any ways she can do bring environmental awareness.
