Miss Grand International Finals: The First Ever Queen Will Be Crowned Tonight!

The day has finally come when the first ever Miss Grand International will crowned in Bangkok, Thailand to be held in Thunderdome on Nov.19, 2013. The first edition of the pageant aims to promote the betterment of humanity and after their preliminary competition held on Nov. 17 at the Impact Arena, Bangkok all contestants are now gearing up for the final event.

The Miss Grand International finals will start its live streaming at 8PM to 10:30Pm Thailand time and will be televised on Channel 7. There are 71 contestants who are going to compete for this year's first Miss Grand International crown and tonight's coronation event will hail it first queen to promote the organization's message of peace and harmony.

The winner for this year's event will receive a cash price of $30,000 USD; the first runner up is 10,000 USD, third runner-up $2,500 USD, and fourth runner-up is $1,500 USD. The Best in Costume will have a cash of $3,000 USD; the same amount will be awarded to Miss Popular Vote, Best in Evening Gown, Best in Evening Gown and the Best in Swimsuit.

After the preliminary event, the contestants were interviewed by Miss Grand International President Nawat Itsaragrisil together with the organization's Vice Presidents, Yuphayao "Teresa" Chaivisut and Ratchaphol "Peter" Chantaratim. The questions during the interview are: How do you like Thailand?, What are your ambitions?, and What other pageants have you participated in?

The interview was conducted at the Executive Lounge of the Chatrium Riverside Hotel from 10AM to 6PM. The girls ended the tiring day by taking a dip in the pool and savor the remaining hours before the final event.
