And the winner is, Miss Nicaragua Nastassja Bolivar! Out of 86 very creative national costumes, Miss Nicaragua bags the most coveted award as the Best in National Costume held on November 3, 2013 at Vegas Mall in Moscow, Russia.

The best in National Costume Award was announced last night during the Miss Universe 2013 Preliminary Round held in Crocus City Hall, where the Coronation Night is going to be held on November 9. Miss Nicaragua will receive a $US5000 credit card courtesy of the Russian Standard Bank, the winner was judged by the Blue Ribbon committee.

Bolivar's national costume depicts the pre-Columbian indigenous empress where she looks spectacularly stunning as she dons the feathered headdress and the colorful sequined embroidery. It's no wonder that she was awarded the highest award for this part of competition, for she indeed brought her national costume to the next level.

The 25-year-old beauty queen grew up in Miami, Florida and spent her summer vacations in her home country, Nicaragua. She dreams to be an entertainment producer and enjoys being active by playing volleyball, soccer, badminton and kickboxing. She is obsessed with board games and is proud to know some basic sewing skills, a handy talent for fashion emergencies.

This year's wide array of contestants is one of the best batches for MU competition, almost 70 percent of the delegates are models and most of them are college graduates. And this year also brought one of the pageant's most outrageous national costumes.

Miss USA Erin Brady - Her costume is girl power to the nth level. If there is a best creative costume then Miss USA will definitely bag the award for her "Transformers" costume which was designed by Martin Izquierdo. Her costume is uniquely different and surely demanded attention.

Miss Curacao Eline de Pool - Dressed like a colorful gecko, Miss Curacao is like a rainbow colored reptile complete with bright sequins and feathers, backed by a blue jumpsuit. She hold a scepter that has her country's name on it and pumps that matches the color of her fabric.

Miss Trinidad and Tobago Catherine Miller - Just by looking at her, you will be transported in the world's most colorful festival, the Carnival. Catherine Miller is the multicolored feathered Carnival Empress. She dons hundreds of colored crystals strapped in her body suit and with colored feathers in her legs. Her headdress is absolutely captivating.

Miss Jamaica Kerrie Baylis - She is the psychedelic diva of this year's batch of national costumes. Like a butterfly, she fluttered her way in the runway in her orange, fuchsia, blue, purple and yellow colored sequins.
