Miss Philippines Venus Raj said she did not do any "major-major" sabotaging against Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell. The candidate from the Philippines denied any involvement in the sabotaging and backstabbing that Campbell revealed on the news, claiming that there is no bad blood between her and Miss Australia.

Miss Philippines is among the candidates, together with Miss Mexico and others from Central and South America, who Campbell said were notably aggressive. Recently, Campbell revealed that she experienced sabotaging and backstabbing in the Miss Universe pageant, in particular having her national costumes stuck with pins.

"I felt these sharp pains when something stuck into my back. I took the top off and found all these pins had been stuck into it," Jesinta Campbell was quoted as saying in the Herald Sun, referring to her much-mocked national costume.

But the beauty queen was not particularly outraged by the matter although she said that the sabotage was "a bit harsh." Jesinta Campbell handled the matter lightly, even saying that "you have to laugh at these things and not take it too seriously and it did give me a story to tell when I got home."
