With all the attention the Miss World pageant got with Megan Young of the Philippines winning the title, people cannot help but talk about the other Filipino representative to the Miss Universe 2013 pageant.

Winning the Binibining Pilipinas Universe crown is 25-year-old Ara Arida, which stands 5 feet and 7.5 inches tall.

Arida has a sophisticated look with a touch of a true Filipina beauty, working as a runway model prior to joining the pageant.

As Young took home the elusive crown of Miss World 2013, people expect Arida to do the same in her quest to become Miss Universe 2013.

The young lady was a graduate of one of the prestigious schools in Laguna, a branch school of the University of the Philippines, where she grew up and started to join beauty pageants.

The Philippine representative has a body statistics of 33-22-34 and was a previous candidate to the country's Miss Earth 2012 but did not win the title.

The competition was held April 14 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum where Arida bagged the crown to represent the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Universe 2013. She won a special award such as Best in Swimsuit and gave a winning answer to the question, "What women could teach men?"

"One lesson in life that we, women, can teach men is being sensitive. Because we all know that men are more logical when it comes to decision. They usually are more rational, straight forward. Unlike we, women, we use our heart and we tend to get emotional in some of our decisions. For me, sensitivity is something that we can teach men."

Will she have the chance to bring home the title for the Philippines? Is she the next Miss Universe that we are all waiting for?
