89 women from around the world compete for the most prestigious title as Miss Universe 2012. The event takes place in Las Vegas where it is hosted by Andy Cohen and Giuliana Rancic. The top 16 contestants have already been announced and up next are the best in swimsuit. Read on to find out.

Millions of fans worldwide are glued to the screens with this years' Miss Universe 2012 held at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Earlier this evening the top sixteen contestants have already been announced which are as follows:

14. Miss France: Marie Payet
13. Miss Peru: Nicole Faverón
12. Miss Russia: Elizaveta Golovanova
11. Miss Mexico: Karina González

9. Miss Hungary: Agnes Konkoly
8. Miss South Africa: Melinda Bam

Right after the top 16 announcement, the sexy ladies went on to strut in their swimsuits. A special award for Miss Photogenic has also been handed out that night of which went to Miss Kosovo, Diana Avdiu. Minutes after the show, once again the top ten were announced of which are as follows:

Train took to the stage while the top ten lovely ladies took to the floor in their evening gowns. Miss USA, Olivia Culpo, could have made a lovely pageant walk in her flowing red gown if not for the slight trip on the stage floor. Obviously, there were quite a lot of Filipinos at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas judging from the noise they made each time Miss Philippines, Janine Tagunon, made it to the stage. Another award given out that night was Miss Congeniality handed out to Miss Guatemala, Laura Godoy.
