The hottest bet for this year's Miss Universe title, Ariella Arida, has already arrived in Moscow. The Filipino beauty is brimming with excitement and is confident to represent her country at the international stage on November 9, at the Crocus City Hall.
In the wake to win the crown, Ariella Arida has done manifold preparations, ranging from rigorous physical training to eating balanced meals to communication skills enhancement. However, there are a few bashers who have criticized the 24-year-old Laguna born beauty for her physical appearance and English speaking skills
Arida's critics took to social media sites and left some disparaging comments regarding her English speaking skills.
"We won't win Miss U this year because of how Ariella Arida speaks," wrote Ritz Feliciano Spasignature Smclark on her Facebook account
In her send-off press conference Ariella Arida admitted that she is not confident about her English speaking skills as they are not as good as of other Filipina beauties.
Ariella Arida said in her ANC's "Headstart interview, "I'm aware of it, actually. You know, I've got a lot of failings, especially on my communication skills and I'm doing my best to really express myself, to communicate myself, to convey a message to all of the people."
"Like what I've told my trainers, I will do my best in the competition. Because you know, when you get there [it's not about how you speak English] but how you express yourself. Latinas can't even speak a sentence; I mean a complete sentence in English. Many of the candidates have a translator". Ariella further explained.
