The hottest bet for Miss Universe 2013 crown, Miss Philippines Ariella Arida is all set to represent her country at the Miss Universe 2013 Pageant to be held in Moscow on Nov 9. Amidst much fanfare, the beauty queen was officially sent off at 1PM yesterday, October 17. Pageant fans, media representatives and former Filipino beauty queens (Janine Tugonon, Venus Raj and Shamcey Supsup) proudly escorted Ariella to the pageant gateway.

She would be leaving for Moscow on October 21 and is rather excited to represent her country at an international platform.

"I'm looking forward to going to Russia so I can represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe pageant. This is going to be my first time to experience the cold weather", she told Felixmanuel.opmbworldwide.com.

Since winning the Miss Philippines title last April, Arida has undergone rigorous training .Under the revered guidance of Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta, Ariella has been coached for physical fitness, communication skills, social graces, hair and make-up.

The 24-year-old beauty is a chemistry graduate and has profanity for sports activities. Besides being a ramp model, she is a marvelous volleyball player, swimmer, and a runner. Ariella considers Venus Raj as the epitome of a perfect woman and aims to follow in her footsteps.

In last three years, Filipino beauties have found a place in top 5 of Miss Universe 2013 pageant, but never won the crown. It is being hoped that after winning Miss World 2013 (Megan Young) and Miss Supranational 2013 (Mutya Johanna Datul), Philippines would strike a hat-trick with the Miss Universe 2013 win.

Regarding the pressure of winning the title Ariella told Felixmanuel.opmbworldwide.com, "The pressure has been there from the start, ever since I won in the Binibining Pilipinas 2013 pageant. It is a good sign that Mutya and Megan won. It serves as motivation for me to work harder; it pushes me to exert more effort,"
