Gabriela Isler: Life Before Becoming Miss Universe

Did you know Isler's full name is Maria Gabriela Isler? She chose Gabriela for the contest. In her personal life she goes by Maria. And her nickname is Molly.

Before taking part in the pageant, Isler worked as a talent on the Venevision TV Network. She studied management and marketing in Venezuela.

Isler trained as a flamenco dancer since she was a little kid. But she trained hard only after her niece was born.

She is a family-oriented woman. Isler revealed that she took care of sister's three-year-old child with her. The two are very close and the new Miss Universe considers herself as her second mother.

One of Isler's first jobs was that of a gift-wrapper. She loved her job as the person who wraps gifts for clients. Isler enjoyed this job because she learned about each present and the story about the owner.

Her mother is her role model who worked extremely hard so that her family can sail through. Isler revealed that because of her mother's tenacious efforts she could become what she is today.
