After fifty years Myanmar is sending a representative in the form of Moe Set Wine to participate in the Miss Universe 2013 pageant. Clearly, a sign that the nation is ready for a change. But it looks like Moe has landed in a fresh controversy puddle after she appeared with Nay Shwe Thway Aung, the grandson of Myanmar's former dictator Than Shwe, according to Irrawaddy.

Nay was in the news for punching and slapping a traffic officer for not clearing the traffic for him in Rangoon's busy intersection.

But this time he didn't slap anybody. The picture of Moe coming out of a yellow Lamborghini while a 21-year-old man stands next to the car was spread across Facebook and blogs. Miss Universe Myanmar Moe Set Wine was attending the opening game of the Universities Champion League. Reportedly, Nay Shwe Thway Aung is the president of the game. On Saturday afternoon, Moe made her first public appearance as Miss Universe Myanmar 2013 at the opening ceremony of the game.

The picture soon became a topic of discussion as Burmese Facebook users commented that Myanmar's new Miss Universe is the latest victim of the famous playboy. Many users also commented that Moe Set Wine should be stripped off her title for being with Nay.

Apparently, Nay is the favourite grandson of Than Shwe who was the commander-in-chief of the Burma army and head of state till 2011.

Nay has been the poster boy of controversies in Myanmar. In his teenage years, rumours spread that he was involved with many Burmese models and celebrities. In fact, he was accused of abducting a model when he was just 17.

After the Facebook activities, a letter was posted online from Nay, in which he distanced himself from Moe.

"I'm not friendly with her and the racing car is not even mine. I just greeted her as she arrived, carrying the trophy because I am the president of Universities Champion League. I'm sorry for Moe Set Wine for she received negative comments because of me."
