The 62nd edition of Miss Universe has brought three contestants with Filipino descent, and just like the universe is conspiring two Filipinas, Miss Philippines Ariella Arida and Miss Canada Riza Santos, will be sharing a room together. These two 100% full blooded Filipina is going to share the same room for 20 days that could lead to a good friendship between the two beauty queens.

Miss Philippines Ariella Arida landed in Russia's capital a day before Miss Canada Riza Santos arrived in Moscow. Glowing in her red dress, Arida was greeted by Filipino supporters at the airport where she excitedly poses with them for a picture. Mesmerized by Ara's beauty, the Filipino fans couldn't stop gushing with her new look and sexy stature.

The 24-year-old stunner is going begin her quest to win the Miss Universe elusive crown amidst the controversies of her "Latina" comments. Arida is under a lot of criticisms when it comes to her English communication skills and was recently slammed by a controversial Filipino DJ Mo Twister when she made an "offensive" comment on her ANC interview.

Now, Ara is doing her best to improve her communication skills so she can fully express herself. So when ANC's Karen Davila asked about her communication flaw, she defended herself by saying:

"Especially, you know, Latinas cannot even speak a sentence, right? I mean, a complete sentence in English... You know, I think, it's the Filipinos who are very critical about this," she said.

Miss Canada Riza Santos was equally beautiful when she arrived in Moscow, and just like Ariella, she was greeted by Filipino supporters in Russia. Before flying to Moscow, Santos posted in her Facebook account how honoured she is to catch up with Miss Universe 2005, Natalie Glebova.

"Natalie is such a genuine and kind person; I am so glad that I had the opportunity to sit down with her just days before I head to Moscow, Russia to represent Canada at Miss Universe 2013," she posted on Facebook.

A triple National Pageant winner, Riza Santos competed and won with flying colors Miss Earth Canada 2006, Miss World Canada 2011 and Miss Universe Canada 2013. Her latest victory comes with a lot of controversies when the pageant's judges declared a wrong winner due to typo error.
