Miss Universe 2013 contestants had a chance to chat with Rafael Correa, President of Ecuador, who visited Russia to meet Vladimir Putin. Correa took out time from his busy schedule to chat with Miss Russia Elmira Abdrazakova and Miss Ecuador Constanza Baez at the President Hotel on Oct. 29, 2013.

Rafael Correa and the MU contestants talked about World AIDS Day which is on Dec. 1, 2013. The theme of World AIDS Day 2013 is "Shared Responsibility: Strengthening Results for an AIDS-Free Generation."

Correa's Moscow Visit

President Rafael Correa is a leader who is very vocal about the U.S. spying methods. The visit of Correa follows new NSA disclosures which have brought Edward Snowden and the U.S.spying tactics into the frontlines again.

According to RT, Correa confirmed that Ecuador will take into consideration Snowden's request for admission in a political asylum, if he makes a request.

"If Snowden comes to the territory of Ecuador, for example, and goes to the diplomatic mission, we will accept his request and consider all the legal aspects to make a decision," Correa revealed.

Coming back to Miss Universe and Rafael Correa's World AIDS Day discussion, they talked at length about the issue and the commemorative day.

Miss Russia Elmira grew up in a small Siberian town, and there she attended a music school. She is currently a student of global economics at the Railroad University of Siberia. She aspires to become an actress. Elmira enjoys poetry, figure-skating and swimming.

An ace pianist, Elmira has won numerous regional competitions because of her exceptional piano playing ability.
