Miss Universe: Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler Chief Judge for MU’s 62nd Edition
Aerosmith's frontman and former "American Idol" judge Steven Tyler is Miss Universe 2013 chief judge for the upcoming competition on Nov. 9 in Moscow, Russia, according to Russia Beyond the Headlines. This will be Tyler's first time to judge a beauty pageant and he will be choosing from the ninety candidates from all over the world who is worthy to take the crown from the reigning Miss Universe Olivia Culpo of United States.
The 65-year-old rockstar has proven throughout his entire career that he totally qualified to judge women, but is he qualified to judge a beauty contest? The controversial "American Idol" judge is no doubt qualified to a judge a singing contest but a beauty contest could be a tough one for him.
He left American Idol on July 12, 2012 after two seasons of being a judge, with a statement saying, "After some long ... hard ... thoughts ... I've decided it's time for me to let go of my mistress 'American Idol' before she boils my rabbit. I strayed from my first love, AEROSMITH, and I'm back - but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I got two fists in the air and I'm kicking the door open with my band. The next few years are going to be dedicated to kicking some serious ass - the ultimate in auditory takeover ..."
However, report says that he was allegedly dumped by the show's producers and because he was having trouble with his bandmates is the reason why he signed up to do American Idol.
On an interview with New Zealand media while he was in Australia in April 2013, Tyler confesses that he's having the hots for JenniferLopez, his co-judge in American Idol, while working in the show and told the media that his experience is one of the best things he ever did.
Well, for now we just have to wait for Nov. 9 and see how Steven Tyler will judge the 90 candidates as they work their way to get the elusive crown. The pageant is going to be held at Moscow's Crocus City Hall where Panic! At the Disco is going to perform for the event.
