Olivia Culpo may have never been the right Miss Universe to win the crown. She may have been crowned Miss U.S.A. and had won the crown from Miss Philippines but was she ever the right person for the job? Would it have been different had someone else won the crown? Read on to find out more.

As the Miss Universe pageant nears, current Miss Universe Olivia Culpo shows some acts not befitting a beauty queen, which in a way questions the standards of selecting a crown holder of the title of Miss Universe.

Miss Universe Olivia Culpo was in hot water for posing at the sacred Taj Mahal in India wearing sandals (footwear) that is known to be "disrespectful" and as an "insult" on their hundred year tradition and culture.

Olivia Culpo, the current Miss Universe that won the title for her country, U.S.A., had posted on her Instagram account the wonderful sights and sceneries while she was in India.

As the crowned Miss Universe, Culpo should have been rather aware of the heritage and culture of the country she visits, this sacriledge to the Taj Mahal by wearing her sandals in the place may go to show that some of these pageant winners are just all beauty, a bit of brains but no heart.

Even though she may not be from the place, learning about the culture of a place is something that she should have thought of doing, this would also apply to those who accompanied her to the sacred place and may have or may have not know about the culture.

Is this befitting of a Miss Universe Crown holder? Should the incoming Miss Universe learn from this? Definitely, catch the Miss Universe pageant next month as it showcases these beautiful women representing their own country in order to win the title of Miss Universe.
