Miss Venezuela Gabriela Isler: Her Journey To Miss Universe 2013
Crowned as the 62nd Miss Universe, Gabriela Isler of Venezuela is the 7th beauty queen from her country to be hailed as the most beautiful woman in the universe. She bagged the prestigious beauty title Nov. 9 in Crocus City in Moscow, Russia and bested 85 other contestants worldwide.
Known as one of the friendliest contestants in the pageant, Isler is the third Miss Venenzuela to be hailed as Miss Universe in 6 years. She was Miss Guarico before she bested 24 finalists in her country's national beauty pageant and bagged the crown as Miss Venezuela in 2012 where she won Miss Elegance Award and became the 9th Miss Venezuela winner from Guarico.
A hot pick of the judges, Isler has been making waves during the prepageant and has been an early favorite to win the crown. Winning the crown for this year's pageant only proved that Venezuela is the country to beat when it comes to Miss Universe pageant.
Venezuela has the most number of titles in the history of Big Four (Miss World, Miss International, Miss Universe and Miss Earth). In 2009, Venezuela became the first country to achieve consecutive wins at the Miss Universe when Stafania Fernadez won the crown after Dayana Mendoza in 2008.
Also known as Molly, Isler has a degree in management and marketing and works as a talent in the Venevision TV network. This 25-year-old beauty queen may have to put her job on hold as she will be based in New York for her entire reign and will be working as Miss Universe Organization (MUO) ambassador.
Her first duty as Miss Universe is to model Yamamay's million dollar swimsuit for her first ever photoshoot as queen. She will be the new face of the Italian brand as it released its new swimwear Miss Universe collection.
Isler will be a Goodwill Ambassador for MUO and represent the organization for social cause in fighting against HIV, drug abuse, children's education, child labor and other social issues. She will also join fundraising activities to finance the organization's charity projects.
