While the rest of the world is busy following the 2013 Miss Universe news, current Miss World Megan Young is having a whirlwind romance with New York City before she flies to Haiti for the Miss World Organization charity works.

"Reigning Miss World is on her way to the United States of America this morning (Oct. 22) to spend the week in New York & Los Angeles," says a Miss World press statement. "She will land in New York on Monday afternoon, where she will be taking in the sights and taking part in a series of interviews and appearances."

Joined by Miss World chairman Julia Morley, Megan Young is scheduled to attend Variety, The Children's Charity Mid-Winter meeting in Los Angeles later this week. This is Young's first trip since her homecoming in the Philippines, and she is set to go to Haiti with Mr. World Francisco Escobar and other members of Miss World delegation.

Young will also give a talk about the pre-title controversy about her alleged racy photos in Roque Magazine and how she is now an advocate for abstinence before marriage. LifeSiteNews.com posted an article on Oct. 14, Miss World: "I'm pro-life' and 'Sex is for marriage' where the article was based on Megan's interview with ANC's Karen Davila.

"I'm pro-life," she said, "and if it means killing someone who's already there, then I'm against that, of course."

When asked whether she supports the use of contraception, she replied. "I don't engage in stuff like that as of now."

"Sex is for marriage," she continued. "That's my belief."

But even in her busy schedule, the 23-year-old stunner finds time to roam around the big apple as she took a boat tour on the placid Hudson River where she saw NYC's famous bridges, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge. The Miss World was also photographed eating the famous New York style jumbo hotdog. The prominent NYC Statue of Liberty was also captured behind her as she tours the famous city.
