The Miss World 2014 finale is just two days away, and the top 5 contestants of the various challenge events have been announced. Here is a detailed look at the contestant who made to the top of the each challenge event.
Miss China PR, Du Yang, won the Miss World Top Model competition. She is a landscape architect by profession. The 22-year-old wants to become a world famous fashion designer. She has a flair for music and is a skilled flautist. She also loves to dance and swim in her free time. Yang pursues her philanthropic interest by helping the underprivileged children in the mountain regions of Beijing. She loves eating seafood and roast duck, reports Miss World.
Miss Mexico, Daniela álvarez Reyes won the Beach Fashion. Reyes won the award for perfect walk and shapely body. The 20-year-old wants to become a well-known TV host. She is a proficient flute and piano player. She also studied jazz dance. Reyes is an avid reader, and her favourite books include "The Alchemist," "The Outsiders" and "The Knight in Rusty Armour," according to Miss World.
Miss Netherlands, Tatjana Maul, won the Miss World Multimedia competition. For this contest, the delegates were given a chance to tell their own story with the help of videos, images and messages. Maul's inspiring video made her win the contest. She is a law student and hopes to become a professional lawyer. She loves to read and likes to spend time with family and friends.
Miss Finland, Krista Haapalainen, got the top slot in the Sport and Fitness competition. She is a marketing student and has a knack for adventurous activities. She is also an aerobic gymnast and a trained bungee jumper.
Meanwhile, the winner of Miss Beauty With a Purpose and the Talent competition will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Miss World 2014 finale. Reigning Miss World Megan Young and Tim Vincent will be hosting the event. Sky Blu from LMFAO and "The Vamps" will aslo perform live.
The Miss World 2014 finale will take place at Excel London Exhibition and Convention Centrea and will be broadcast live at 2:30 p.m. GMT. Megan Young will crown the winner at the end of the ceremony.
