Miss World 2014 Finale: 'The Vamps' To Give A Live Performance Of Their Smash Hit 'Somebody To You'
Miss World 2014 finale will see a live act by the famous British boy-band "The Vamps." At the event, they will be singing their hit number "Somebody to you." The song is a huge sell out and has garnered more than 40 million views on You Tube. "The Vamps" are being considered a global phenomenon as the first five singles from their album "Meet The Vamps," has already made it to the UK's Top 10 list.
The band is reportedly excited to perform at the 64th edition of the Miss World pageant. "We are thrilled to be involved in such a prestigious event that is seen by millions of people all around the world. It will be an incredible way to round of 2014 which has been such a crazy year for us," they said in an official statement, as quoted by Miss World.
"The Vamps" consists of four members including Brad Simpson, James McVey, Connor Ball and Tristan Evans. They began performing in early 2012 and performed at several UK festivals. Their first single is "Can We Dance." They followed it with two other songs -- "Wild Heart" and "Last Night." The band is expected to soon embark on its first UK tour.
Sky Blu from LMFAO is also set to perform at the event. The multi-talented Grammy winner will be opening the ceremony with his new single "We Love Girls." He will also close the ceremony, with his smash-hits such as "Pop Bottles" and "Shots."
Miss World 2014 finale will take place at Excel in London on Sunday, Dec. 14. There are 122 contestants, from all over the world, competing for the coveted crown. Tim Vincent and the reigning Miss World, Megan Young will be hosting the show. Young said in an official statement that it is her passion to host and she is excited to do the honours for the iconic event, according to Miss World. The show will be broadcast live across the world at 2:30 p.m. (GMT).
