Miss World Ireland 2011 Admits Copying Fashion Style from Kate Middleton [PHOTOS]
The recently-crowned Miss Ireland, Holly Carpenter, has admitted that she took a lot of The Duchess' fashion sense when she flies for the Miss World competition on Nov. 6 in Earls Court, England.
The 19-year-old has admitted that she also fell victim to the "Kate Middleton fashion effect," saying she took some of the Duchess' ensembles to inspire her style for the pageant. The Dublin native, who uncannily looks like a more elegant Kim Kardashian, says the Middleton's style is "effervescent" and "classy".
"I am going for a Kate Middleton look during the day time. I've got dresses from boutiques like Fran and Jane, and I'll be in heels everyday." said the beauty queen in a report. Carpenter added that aside from taking inspiration from the future Queen of England, she has always been donning Middleton's kind of style.
" Kate Middleton is definitely my theme. With her outfits, her dresses are always knee-length with a clutch bag and simple jewellery like pearls, simple necklaces and earrings." added the Miss World contender in the same post.
Carpenter mentioned how much she knows about the fashion on beauty pageants that always involve "bling" and "showing skin," but reiterates that she wishes to show a more graceful and stylish side to her when she packed outfits accordingly to Middleton's style.
"Obviously the Miss World contest is about bling as well, but that's for the night time. On stage is one thing but I want to show the judges I have another side to me and I can be classy during the day." claimed Carpenter.
"I am representing Ireland and I want to look classy," finished Carpenter in her statement that will surely make the Duchess proud.
