After Miss World Megan Young's visit in the U.S., she is now in Haiti as Miss World's ambassador for Beauty with a Purpose to oversee the developments of several projects funded by The Miss World Organization.

Young bested 126 other beauty queens in the 63rd Miss World pageant held in Bali, Indonesia on September 28, 2013.

Megan Young's travel missions to Haiti are just one of MWO charitable projects and this time they are heading to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Young is hosted by Miss Word Haiti Ketsia Iciena Lioudy, she was toured around the country's capital and introduced her to people who can help with the project.

Haiti has been the center of MWO Beauty with a Purpose projects since 2009, the charity work is centered on the mountainous area of Pestel where the people suffered from a devastating earthquake in 2010. Because of that calamity, the MWO extended their aims and increased their efforts to rehabilitate the place and the projects made tens of thousands of individuals within the country benefit from its relief.

Former Miss World Wencia Yu of China together with Mr. World Francisco Escobar and Claudine Book (Miss World USA 2012) was the last MWO dignitaries who visited Haiti. They were there for a week-long visit to check out some health clinics, water treatment facilities and meet up with local leaders and local organizations who are working for the same goal - a healthier Haiti.

MWO Beauty with a Purpose is partnering with Haiti's Thriving Villages, an organization working out in Haiti that offers aid and assistance to the poor communities within Pestel. With the help of the organization and MWO, people from Pestel are now having the access to clean and education.
