Missing Actress Misty Upham Feared Dead As Similar Body Found With Purse Containing Her Identity
In a shocking incident, the Auburn Police department has discovered a body feared to be that of missing actress Misty Upham. The body is discovered in Forest Ridge Drive and has been given to a medical examiner to find the identity of the same. The police believe the body belongs to the missing actress. Nothing has been confirmed officially yet, as reported by CNN.
This is a tragic development in the case of the missing actress who was last seen on October 6. Her father was the one to file a missing person report as he feared suicide due to actress' state of mind since the last time they talked. He claimed that the actress was battling depression and had a tendency to issue suicide threats and make attempts.
Meanwhile, the police have released an official statement to E!News. "The body was found at the bottom of a 150 embankment near the White River. A purse containing identification of Misty Upham was at the scene, however, at this time the medical examiner has not made a positive identification nor a determination of cause of death."
However, the police is not ruling out foul play in the case. There is no evidence as of now and complete identification can be done only after complete medical examination.
The body was first spotted by a family member of the actress who was looking for her in the area since her sudden mysterious disappearance. This news came as a shock to her family members who had been fervently praying for her safe return.
The father of the missing actress claimed earlier in Hollywood Life that she is under medication for her panic attacks and even expressed his fear that she might have committed suicide. However, he later posted on her Facebook page that he no longer worry about the possibility of suicide, but remains anxious on the prospect of her getting in trouble or hurt by someone.
Unlike speculations about her failing career and financial stress, she is deemed as a talented actress and was even nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for supporting role in the 2008 film Frozen River, as per BBC. Prior to her disappearance, she was shooting a film called "Crawlspace," according to the Internet Movie Database.
