Jeremy Renner is set to return in "Mission Impossible 5" along with Tom Cruise.

The "Mission Impossible"movie franchise is preparing its sequel in another action-packed movie with "Mission Impossible 5." The fifth installment to the franchise is still unnamed however, two stars have already been confirmed to return- Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg. Now reports have surfaced that Jeremy Renner has also confirmed his involvement in "Mission Impossible 5."

Nothing has been stated officially regarding Jeremy Renner's involvement in "Mission Impossible 5" until his interview with Yahoo.

During the interview, Jeremy Renner expressed his interest in the TV series "True Detective." He thought that its style of filming is great, considering the short runs where actors can have ten episodes of shooting and get out. There's no commitment to it which he likes, since he finds doing network television a little scary.

Since he had shown interest in "True Detective," Jeremy Renner was asked whether he would like to be cast in the series.

"It's kind of unlikely. In fact, I'm kind of strapped time-wise doing Avengers 2, and Mission: Impossible 5 is rearing its head, and then they want to do another Bourne movie. It's unlikely I can find the time right now. And that's all right. It's just really high-class problems - pretty awesome to have. Even if I really wanted to do it, which I don't, I couldn't," he answered.

Jeremy Renner may have accidentally confirmed his return in the "Mission Impossible" movie franchise. Regardless, he is the third confirmed cast who will join "Mission Impossible 5."

Thewrap reports that Jeremy Renner intentionally joined the previous "Mission Impossible" movie, "Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol," with hopes of taking the lead role from Tom Cruise. Apparently that didn't happen. Instead he was cast as William Brandt, whose role he will reprise in "Mission Impossible 5." Renner plays an Impossible Mission Force (IMF) agent who is forced to work with Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) after the secretary of the IMF is killed. In "Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol" viewers also learned that Brandt was assigned to protect Hunt's wife Julia (Michelle Monaghan).

Meanwhile twitter fans are excited to hear that Jeremy Renner will join "Mission Impossible 5." Below are their tweets.
