St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina received its sixth straight Gold Glove awards, joining three other players currently playing in the World Series.

Molina retained his status as baseball's best defensive catcher after taking another Gold Glove award. He joined World Series competitors Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia, right fielder Shane Victorino and teammate pitcher Adam Wainwright.

Also making it in the prestigious list is Atlanta Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons, Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado and Colorado third baseman Nolan Arenado, who became the first rookie to win a Gold Glove award since Ichiro Suzuki won it in 2001.

Kansas City Royals Alex Gordon captured his third Gold Glove award along with fielding Bible award for his superb defensive effort on the field throughout the season.

"I've got a trophy case back in Lincoln, (Neb.), so this one won't be the chip-and-dip tray. This one will actually go up in the trophy case," Gordon told ESPN.

"It means a lot. The first one was pretty special, just because it's the first one, but to be able to share it with two teammates makes this one the best one of all."
