Boston Red Sox slugger Shane Victorino is proud of his accomplishment of winning the Gold Glove award at two different positions.

Victorino, whose clutch hits in Game 6 helped the Red Sox win their first World Series title at Fenway Park last Wednesday, said he's pretty proud of becoming the American League's best infielder at right field position despite spending most of his career as a center fielder.

"I think it means a lot. More than anything I think the magnitude of moving to right field, the magnitude of playing in Fenway Park, this was a big surprise," Victorino said of winning a Gold Glove at a new position via Andrew Perna of Real GM.

Despite being a solid slugger and base runner, Victorino said he's taking pride of his defense more than anything else.

"In regards to not surprise, the fact that I won, a surprise more than anything for me was, everybody talked about -- I took it as a surprise about how everybody talked about how hard Fenway Park in right field was to play. I've always worked hard on my defense. And I've always taken pride in my defense."

Before his right field stint with the Red Sox, Victorino was a three-time Gold Glove winner with the Philadelphia Phillies at the center field position.
