The Minnesota Twins have yet to place an offer for veteran hurler Johan Santana, a source close to situation reported on Monday.

Santana, who went 6-9 with a 4.85 ERA and 111 strikeouts last season, remains a free-agent at this point of winter. The Twins have expressed their interest to re-acquire Santana, but they have not still made a formal offer for the two-time CY Young Award winner.

"The Twins have not offered Johan Santana a contract, Darren Wolfson of 1500ESPN.com tweets. Santana does have offers in hand from other teams. The Twins are still interested in Santana, however. The former Cy Young winner will likely receive a minor-league deal."

Santana went 139-78 with a 3.20 ERA and 1,988 strikeouts throughout a surefire Hall of Fame career.
