Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza will be headlining the UFC 176 event on August 2, 2014 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles when he faces Gegard “The Dreamcatcher” Mousasi.

The Souza-Mousasi card was added as a co-main event, which also features Jose Aldo against Chad Mendes according to a report from the Los Angeles Daily News.

In their mixed martial arts career, Souza is has a record of 20 wins and 3 losses (1 no contest), while Mousasi is at 35-4-2.

Just three weeks ago, Mousasi submitted Mark Munoz with a rear-naked choke in the first round at the UFC Fight Night 41. He won his first UFC fight against Llir Latifi (unanimous decision) and lost to Lyoto Machida (unanimous decision) in one of the best fights so far in 2014.

Souza is on a six-fight win streak-- the last three coming in the UFC--- with wins over Francis Carmont (unanimous decision); Yushin Okami (TKO - punches); and Chris Camozi (Technical submission - arm-triangle choke).
