Media Reports suggest that the Miss World 2013 contestant from Uzbekistan is a fake. The predominantly Muslim country does not have an official Miss World contestant, according to the report.

According to a report by The Inquisiter, Uzbekistan does not have a Miss World contest to select a representative from the country. A model, Rakhima Ganieva, has got herself a spot to compete in the Miss World competition to be held in Indonesia.

The officials at the Uzbekistan National Committee on Woman and the Cultural and Sports Ministry have not heard of Ms Ganieva. This has led to the speculation that she is an imposter. Will her Miss World dreams crash even before it begins?

Ms Ganieva does feature in the official Miss World Web site. The 18 year old loves to play the piano and wants to continue to create music. She also enjoys playing tennis, travelling and learning history.

Ms Ganieva is a graduate from Tashkent Professional College of Tourism, according to the Miss World Web site and plans to pursue further studies in International Relations and Law. This she says will help her build her career in this field.

There is one problem however, according to media reports Ms Ganieva never attended the university she claims she attended on her resume. So, did she lie about her education to be able to qualify as a Miss World contestant?

The possibility that a fake contestant can enter the Miss World contest seems like a plot right out of a Hollywood movie. Sandra Bullock from the movie "Miss Congeniality" played the role of a FBI agent who entered a beauty pageant to catch a killer.

Ms Ganieva likes to read, according to her Miss World write up. She enjoys Russian writers like Chekhov, Dostoevsky,Tolstoy. Any interest in Hollywood movies was not mentioned.

Ms Ganieva writes that she is widely travelled and is interested in cultures and lifestyles of other countries. She has visited Russia, England, Azerbaijan, United Arab Emirates and Cyprus.

So far nothing is stopping her from travelling to Indonesia for the big event. The Officials at the Miss World contest have not removed her name from the Web site. Will Ms Ganieva be allowed to participate? Please share your thoughts at the comments section below.
