It's Halloween and the members of the Delgado-Pritchett household are getting ready with their costumes. In this week's episode of "Modern Family," Jay rediscovers his youth and confidence when he puts on a wig with glorious golden hair.

Gloria picked out a Princess Fiona costume for herself and said that Jay only needs to paint his face green to be Shrek. Jay is offended and points out that this happens every year. Gloria is Beauty while he is the Beast one year, and the next, she is Beyonce and he's Jay-Z whose name he doesn't even remember.

Gloria then tells him that it's his fault for not wanting to shop for costumes, so he will always just have to make do with the aftermath of what she picks out. Jay is then stirred into action and goes out to get himself a Prince Charming costume complete with a full head of blonde hair. He even got Joe a donkey costume and cat ears for their dog Stella.

Gloria is amused by his efforts and admits that she's turned on by his costume and invites him for a little afternoon naptime fun. Jay basks in the glory of his full head of golden hair and says that it's a big confidence booster.

When it was time to get ready for trick or treat, Manny is stressed out about his own costume because it's his last one as a kid and he wants to go out with a bang. He's trying to make a choice between a Handsome Hawaiian or a Sexy Scotsman. Eventually, Manny decides on Frank Sinatra but Jay still has a problem. He's lost his wig and is frantic trying to look for it.

Gloria tells him that the last time she saw it, the dog Stella was playing with it. Jay is aghast at the news and gets mad at Gloria for not saving his wig. Gloria then tells him that it's no big deal and no one's even sure if Prince Charming really had hair. She says that maybe he needed to be charming because he was bald.

He then has no choice because of the lost wig and agrees to go out without it. Some guy dressed as a doctor mistakenly identifies him as Benjamin Franklin. They both agree that their concept of Prince Charming was a guy with hair and they end up discussing hair implants. Gloria hears them and gets mad at Jay for wanting to change his appearance.

Jay reasoned out that even Gloria was extra enthusiastic and attracted to him with his hair and she pointed out to him that it was not the hair that she wanted. She says that what she liked were the efforts he put into joining the festivities and finding a costume instead of being his usual apathetic self.

When Gloria says that it's not important to her whether or not he has a full head of hair, Jay then asks her if it's fine with her that he looks like Benjamin Franklin. Gloria saves the day by saying that the man on the $100 bill is her favourite.
