ABC's critically acclaimed, hit sitcom "Modern Family" returns this fall for its fifth season. It is highly likely that the premiere episode will have a wedding. Finally, we may get to see Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) walk down the aisle and say "I do."

The "first episode of "Modern Family" upcoming fifth season will take on the recent legalization of same-sex marriage in California," according to Diane Haithman of The Deadline.

The Deadline reports that Jeffrey Richman, writer of "Modern Family," indicated that the sitcom's writing team had begun penning down the storyline, ahead of the June 26, 2013 Supreme Court order that legalised same-sex weddings in California.

"We would have been extremely unlucky writers had the decision gone the other way," Richman said.

"Modern Family" Season 5 promo alludes to popping-up of the question "Will you marry me?" as "YES" is the word repeated number of times in the promo. The "Yes" is harbinger of good news, for sure as the faces saying "Yes" look cheerful, happy and bright.

"Modern Family" cast has expanded for the upcoming season. According to Yahoo! TV, Comedian Adam DeVine joins the cast. He plays the character of baby Joe's nanny and will have a recurring role.

The new nanny may turn out be dangerously controlling and a meddler as he does not want to just take care of the baby but also wants to take charge of the entire household.

Christopher Lloyd, executive producer, said to TV Guide baby Joe's nanny "doesn't want to just take care of the baby. He wants to sort of revive the entire household, which leads to some territorial clashes" with the family.

A new man may enter Haley's (Sarah Hyland) life."I've heard rumors that there's a new guy for Haley." A new boyfriend? It's about time! Let's just hope he's not as dim as Dylan and not as skeevy as that middle-aged jeans salesman she dated," Sarah said, as quoted in Yahoo! TV's report.

"Modern Family" returns this fall on September 25, with an hour premiere episode. The previous four seasons of this Primetime Emmy winner will make its debut on September 25,2013 on USA Network.
