The cast members of ABC's hit comedy series "Modern Family" have practically grown up on screen and their development and maturity were on display in the past five highly successful seasons. Even more so than the adult actors and characters, the growth and maturity of the younger cast members have not only been a wonder to watch, their development has been platforms for new plot twists and conflicts. Season 6 gives the two adolescent boys Luke and Manny their first real taste of romance and relationships as revealed by the latest season spoilers.

In the two-part season finale of season 5, Alex Dunphy was seen making fun of her younger brother Luke and their cousin Manny Delgado-Pritchett as they went about the chaos of Mitch and Cam's wedding. She had filmed them bantering like a married couple and even while they unwittingly repeated marriage vows to each other while Phil Dunphy practiced officiating the ceremony.

On season 6, stills from filming as published by Just Jared have shown the pair of adolescent boys jumping head first into the dating scene. Luke was spotted in what appears to be a date with a young girl that he is trying to impress. According to TV Line, Manny, for his part will be having his first real girlfriend this season and his mom Gloria will have to deal with some competition as a new woman enters Manny's life.

On season 5, Manny and Luke started getting their toes wet in the dating scene as they went out on a double date with twins. The date didn't turn out so well, but it seems that the two haven't given up and more romantic ventures will be revealed in the upcoming season. It remains to be seen if the other teenager in the mix, Alex Dunphy, will be having her own romantic adventures this season.

Another young gun who grew up in the show, Lily Tucker Pritchett may be too young for romance, but she has gone past being a toddler and is now a full-time student. Guest star Tyne Daly plays her teacher and her newlywed parents Mitch and Cam are in for some Parent-Teacher conferences this season as their feisty daughter delivers more of her hard-hitting one liners throughout the season.
