Monica Bellucci Makes History For Being The Oldest Bond Girl In Next James Bond Movie 'Spectre' [SEE PHOTOS]
She's tall, smart, saucy and sexy just like the Bond girls are meant to be. But she is 50-years-old. Meet Monica Bellucci, the newly announced Bond girl in the next James Bond movie "Spectre." The Italian beauty has created a history for becoming the oldest Bond girl of all times. Prior to her, actress Honor Blackman played Pussy Galore in 1964's "Goldfinger" and she was 39-years-old then.
It is not the first time that Monica was considered for the role of the Bond girl. In 1997, the actress reportedly auditioned for "Tomorrow Never Dies" but due to undisclosed reasons the role was later given to "Desperate Housewives" star Teri Hatcher.
The Italian actress looked her best in black and red figure hugging knee length dress as she attended the event where the cast was unveiled for the James Bond movie "Spectre." The actress looked stylish and oozed charm as she posed with the Bond, Daniel Craig for the pictures. The actress kept her hair long and completed her look by wearing towering black heels. "James Bond is our fantasy - the ideal man. The man is a protector, he is dangerous, mysterious and sexy, and a perfect English gentleman," an excited Bellucci said at the press conference, according to Daily Mail.
When the actress was asked to describe what makes "a good Bond girl," she said the credit goes to the director. The 24th installment of 007 movies is different from the previous ones. "Spectre" will have not one but two Bond girls. Lea Seydoux is also slated to romance Daniel Craig as another Bond girl. While Bellucci will be seen in the role of Lucia Sciarra, Seydoux will take on the part of Madeleine Swann, director Sam Mendes announced at the press event in England.
Seydoux rose to fame after her movie "Blue Is The Warmest Colour" in which she played Emma, a lesbian who drops out of high school to pursue her relation with another girl.
The movie will be shot in London, Italy, Mexico City, Morocco and Austria and is scheduled to be released on Oct. 23, 2015 in U.K. and on Nov. 6, 2015 globally. Other cast members inclde Christoph Waltz, Dave Bautista, Andrew Scott, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Ralph Fiennes and Daniel Craig as the main spy James Bond.
