Manny Pacquiao is known for his flurry of punches inside the boxing ring. The 1-2 punch from the Philippines Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is a combination that the popular boxer did not see coming.

According to tmz.com, the 34-year-old Filipino has to face new tax problems after the media outlet got hold of official documents from the IRS that states that Pacquiao has not paid taxes from 2006 to 2010 while fighting in the U.S. Apparently, Pacquiao is due taxes worth $18,313,668.79.

The breakdown is as follows:

2006 -- $1,160,324.30
2007 -- $2,035,992.50
2008 -- $2,862,437.11
2009 -- $8,022,915.87
2010 -- $4,231,999.01

This is consistent with Pacquiao’s fights over the years and the probable year-end computations for the taxes.

2005 - Hector Velasquez, Erik Morales
2006 - Erik Morales (twice), Oscar Larios
2007 - Jorge Solis, Marco Antonio Barrera
2008 - Juan Manuel Marquez, David Diaz, Oscar De La Hoya
2009 - Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto
2010 - Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito

Indeed 2005 was a lean year for the Pac Man as he fought only twice during that time and his biggest haul came in 2008 when he indulged in two marquee matches (Marquez and De La Hoya).

The Filipino is coming off a stirring 12-round decision victory over American Brandon Rios last November 24 in Macau and he’s hoping to be as impressive against another American in Uncle Sam as he fights these apparent tax evasion charges.
