"The Mortal Instruments" may not have been such a huge hit as it was projected to be. But according to many reports, filming the second part of the movie will be this 2014. Lily Collins has a different take when asked about it.

MTV.com interviewed Lily Collins who plays the lead role, Clary Fray, in the book alongside Jamie Campbell Bower and Robert Sheenan. The star was interviewed on the red carpet while attending "Glamour" magazine's Woman of the Year Award held in New York.

The star didn't want to be excited about the movie since there weren't sure when the filming of the second book, "The Mortal Insruments: City of Ashes" would begin. In her interview with MTV.com she said:

"We don't know that, Well, there is a lot of conversation still going on," she clarified. "I don't know anything else; I kind of am with everyone else in the waiting game."

The star however is excited to get back into character as Clary Fray and she talks about it:

"I love the stories, I love Clary, we love the cast - I just have no clue, I think I'm like all the fans going, 'So, what's happening?' But you know they will be the first ones to figure it out when we do. You never know, right?"

Fans are excited and there has been much report that the producers of the movie are talking about what they had done wrong with the first movie that didn't engage fans to the movie unlike its bestselling book, "The Mortal Instruments."

Cassandra Clare, its book author, will have the sixth book to "The Mortal Instruments" released this 2014, "The Mortal Instruments: City of Heavenly Fire."
