Almost every Australian is known to be truly hard working regardless of the kind of work they are in, but not as hardworking as the Aussies in Darwin.
The recent ABS figures show that the city of Darwin, Australia hold the highest ranks when it comes to employment rates, the biggest number of individuals employed in just one family, and the ones who are known to work the longest.
According to the head of Charles Darwin University School of Business, most go to Darwin, Australia not just for rest and recreation but moreover for a certain job or to start a promising career. Ram Vemuri added that once they get a job, they stay in Darwin and when it is over, they simply leave. This is nothing compared to the ones in Sydney or Melbourne where too many people are staying in, finding a hard time to even get one.
Mr Vemuri added that in the case of Darwin, Australia, it is not about "fly-in fly-out" for it's rather "job seek-in, job seek-out."
Another proof of this recent recognition for Darwin is its demographics. Above the rest of the capital cities Down Under, it is known to have the youngest groups of population and it has more men than the women. This does not mean men are better than women or the young ones are more capable than the older ones. But it does heighten the potential of the greater population.
In fact, majority of the working people in Darwin belong to the construction industry.
Dr Suniti Bandaranaike, a demographic expert mentioned that the city also has a high percentage of migrants within its population. And it is common for overseas people to be hard working according to Dr Bandaranaike.
The rest of the cities who made it to the list of highest employment to population ratio according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics are as follows:
2. ACT
3. Western Australia
4. Queensland
5. Victoria
6. New South Wales
7. South Australia
8. Tasmania
On the other hand, data from the Census department says that the people from Darwin are not just employed but proved to be putting in about 49 hours and more into their work for every week.
