Who could forget the hype for the beloved film adaptation of Suzanne Collins best-selling novels, "The Hunger Games?" Thanks to the book turned film, Director Gary Ross instantly turned Jennifer Lawrence into Hollywood's "It" Girl. Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth also skyrocketed into stardom. Head back into the post-apocalyptic world of Panem and watch tributes take on each other with a little bit of star-crossed love in between.
2012 was a jumble of action movies and hot men galore. Get into the Marvel geek vibe on with another take of "The Avengers" starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner. "Dark Knight Rises" also made one of the most dollars in the box office hit in comparison to "The Avengers."
"Battleship" which stars the ever sultry and sexy, Rihanna, also made a debut this year. The best Bond movie, "Skyfall" starring Daniel Craig also made a complete hit this year. Jeremy Renner might have made the perfect Hawk Eye in "The Avengers" but his other film, "The Bourne Legacy" also made its debut this year.
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield made everyone fall in love all over again with their version of "The Amazing Spiderman" remake. Of course, who could forget the dancing male strippers of "Magic Mike?" Channing Tatum and Matt Bomer made every woman in the planet hot for them in the hilarious and sexy film, "Magic Mike."
Everyone bid good bye to the final installment of "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" last November. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart definitely put on a good show for their obsessed "Twi"-hard fans and "Robsten" lovers.
Of course, the animated film "Rise of the Guardians" which made a debut last week made everyone believe in the Easter Bunny, Christmas, the Tooth Fairy, Sandman and Jack Frost once again. December 21 is close by and if it is truly the end of the world, these films are definitely the ones worth watching once more.
